10 TV Finales That Made You Embarrassed You Ever Cared

4. Heroes - Brave New World

Heroes was a show with a broad scope, but sadly a very narrow direction.

To be fair, it was a very emotional show that did an admirable job of showing viewers a world where superpowers exist, and how a person would actually deal with them.

Across the four season run of the show, the series tanked to a new low with it's depressingly bad Volume 3: "Villains" but seemed to find its feet in the aptly titled Volume 5: "Redemption".

Or so we thought. The introduction of literal earth-shattering Carnival Leader Samuel brought in a new cavalcade of characters and a build-up to a staggering finale of good characters verses bad. With Sylar now teaming up with the goodies to take on Samuel and his cult of followers, the finale looked to be climactic.

Aside from the final fight amounting to two men grimacing at each other as the floor beneath them pumped up like a rat under a rug, the deflating ending was less about emotional beats and more about running out the clock.

Ambiguous endings aren't something to be annoyed by, but the "I dunno?" gesture the series ends on definitely didn't justify the ignored revival Heroes: Reborn five years later.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
