10 TV Nerds Who Could Kick Your Ass

1. Hal - Being Human

Hal is an interesting case -- the reason he qualifies is a nerd is directly related to the fact that he is incredibly dangerous. After living as a vampire for a few hundred years, switching from good to evil back to good again with an alarming frequency, he had to develop certain habits to keep himself sane. Upon meeting the werewolf Leo and being persuaded to go vegan, Hal creates a routine that allows him to be in complete control of his vampiric urges. This include lining up dominoes (but never knocking them down), following BBC Radio intently, and listening to a frankly appalling amount of Gilbert and Sullivan. His boring, uber-structured life is really the only thing that stops him from going dark side and eating half of Wales. But it's definitely an odd juxtaposition, Good Hal and Evil Hal. On the one hand you've got this evil, sadistic, blood-thirsty killer whose cruelty made him a legend for centuries. But then there's also this prim, awkward guy who has no social skills, no game when it comes to chatting up the ladies, and a severe obsession with cleanliness. Someone needs to learn to strike a happy medium.
