4. The Fourth Hokage - Naruto
If you don't know who Naruto Uzumaki is, then you should do some reading because he is a very big deal.
He's the lead character of the incredibly popular Naruto franchise, which began life as a manga in Japan and has now conquered the world through various anime and film adaptations.
Naruto: Shippūden is one such adaptation and contains the episode The Fourth Hokage. In it, the aspiring ninja meets Minato Namikaze, The Fourth Hokage (leader) of his village.
It was pretty clear that Minato was actually Naruto's father, who had died saving him from a spirit attack when he was a baby. Naruto had waxing lyrical about the power of the Fourth Hokage all season long and was constantly reminding the audience of his father's tragic demise.
Sadly, even though he was the one that set it up, Naruto himself didn't see the twist coming.
The show is famous for its obvious reveals, so perhaps it's fitting that this moment carry on that style. However, it's still really funny to watch the young hero's shocked reaction to the revelation when it was blatantly obvious to all of his viewers.
