10 TV Show Scenes With INSANE Implications

5. Seven Bundy Goes Missing - Married... With Children

Buffy The Vampire Slayer
Columbia

Married... with Children's seventh season attempted to change up the show's well-trod formula by introducing a new child character, Seven (Shane Sweet).

Peggy's (Katey Segal) cousins Zemus (Bobcat Goldthwait) and Ida Mae (Linda Blair) leave their son Seven with the Bundy family, who effectively informally adopt him from that point.

But Seven proved wildly unpopular with fans from the get-go, who simply felt that he didn't mesh with the established ensemble cast. And so, near the end of the season, he abruptly leaves, with the D'Arcy family briefly mentioning that he showed up at their house and won't leave.

That's all well and good, but in both seasons eight and nine, a milk carton can be briefly seen with a missing person's photo of Seven, suggesting that he's been kidnapped.

Seven being snatched is horrifying enough, but the fact that the Bundys don't seem even remotely concerned about this is something else altogether. Though clearly intended as more of a goofy Easter egg than anything else, if you stop and think about it, it's crazy.

Basically, it was better for the show to just accept that Seven was missing and nobody cared rather than slogging on with his continued existence no matter how much of an albatross he was around its neck.
