10 TV Shows Coming To STAR On Disney+

3. Scrubs

Sons Of Anarchy Jax Teller
ABC

Bill Lawrence's zany medical comedy is one of the funniest and most unique shows of recent times. Like Grey's Anatomy, it focused on hospital interns at the start of their career. But unlike that show, Scrubs blended surreal humour and slapstick with characters that felt genuinely real and stories that left a long-lasting impact on its viewers. That is the secret to Scrubs' success; blending drama and comedy better than almost any other show of its time.

The misadventures of J.D. (Zach Braff), Elliot (Sarah Clarke) and Turk (Donald Faison) ad they work their way up to full doctors is often told through a mixture of real-life and bizarre daydreams from inside J.D.'s brain.

Yet when it comes to more poignant or vulnerable moments, Scrubs proves equally capable of making us cry with sadness as it can with laughter. Its sense of humour and style remains practically unmatched even now.

Disney has always been behind the production of the series. Having a stake in it right from the start makes it a natural addition to the STAR collection.
