2. The Flash
The Flash is now the Arrowverse's flagship show, so it's no surprise that it's returning for yet another season. Season eight is set to debut on The CW on 16 November 2021, just a few weeks after Batwoman and Legends of Tomorrow begin airing.
The Flash had a rocky seventh season after several original cast members exited the show, including Carlos Valdes and Tom Cavanaugh as Cisco Ramon and Harrison Wells respectively. Of course, Ralph Dibney was also written out of the season following actor Hartley Sawyer's offensive tweets.
As such, Team Flash now looks very different to the team we established in season one and whilst that's not always a bad thing, the writers are doing very little to inject new life into the formula. Kayla Compton brings some much needed freshness as Allegra Garcia, but as charming as Chester P. Runk (Brandon McKnight) is, he's a carbon copy of Cisco.
Rumours suggest that Barry Allen himself Grant Gustin is keen to leave the show, but he did sign on for season eight. In recent years, The Flash has come under fire for its oftentimes awkward comedy and repetitive storylines. After all, how many evil speedsters can we defeat before it gets boring? We'll have to see if season eight holds more of the same.
