10 TV Shows That Cleverly Foreshadow What Happens

1. Game Of Thrones - A Few Foretold Deaths

GLEN WALKING DEAD
HBO

Game of Thrones' writers were masterfully good at foreshadowing several events on the show, but there was one event in season four that stands above the rest. In the episode "The Mountain and the Viper," Petyr Baelish said the following to his stepson:

"People die at their dinner tables. They die in their beds. They die squatting over their chamber pots. Everybody dies sooner or later. And don’t worry about your death. Worry about your life. Take charge of your life for as long as it lasts."

The events of season four include the death of King Joffrey Baratheon, who was killed via poisoning at the dinner table during his wedding, Tyrion Lannister strangled his former lover, Shae, while she was in bed, and in the next scene, he finds his father sitting on the privy before quickly shooting a couple of crossbow bolts into his chest, killing him on the toilet.

All three deaths were neatly foreshadowed by Lord Baelish in as explicit a manner as he possibly could have said them, but unless you've read the books, or considered him to be a fortune teller, it's likely this one passed you by.
