It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia has never really taken itself seriously, which is kind of why it works. But if fans of the show were to be truly honest with themselves, they'd likely admit that things haven't really been the same since around about seasons four or five - the characters might have stayed the same (good), but the show seems to have been lacking on plot ideas for a few years now (bad). And sometimes it actually feels like a bit of a chore to get through an episode of this show, which is odd, really, given that It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia is allowed to be as stupid or as crazy or as downright ridiculous as it wants to be; entertain us, guys! So there have been ten seasons of the show now (my, doesn't time fly?) and it seems like a pretty good place to leave the gang now. The cast need to move onto other projects - they need to spread their wings and broaden their horizons. Because folk can't sit around watching them scream at one another forever. Can they? Oh, the series has just been renewed for two more seasons, you say? Seriously? Oh, well.
