10 Underrated Horror TV Shows From The '90s You Totally Forgot About
4. Perversions Of Science
Perversions of Science was a science/horror story anthology that followed a similar format as Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt; only it managed to weave compelling stories while also ramping up the suspense, violence, and sex mandated by the mid-'90s.
With only ten episodes from June to July 1997, it was a show that became underrated (and sometimes wholly forgotten) over time. But for those who rather enjoyed the juxtaposition of horror and science fiction, Perversions of Science ticked all of the boxes as it explored the ominous pitfalls of humankind's experimentations.
Going back to shows like Twilight Zone and Tales from the Crypt, Perversions of Science had its own host, but this one was less ghoulish and more of an erotic dancing android. Neither the sexy robot nor the show turned out to meet HBO's expectations, and consequentially, the network never picked up additional episodes of the series.
For as little screentime as Perversions of Science had, it did wonders to open up doors for future gruesome shows by introducing audiences to extreme content not widely available on regular TV and leaving them with nightmarish tales they wouldn't soon forget.
