10 Walking Dead Characters Who Deserve Their Own Spin-Off
2. Michonne
Aside from Rick and Daryl, Michonne embodies everything The Walking Dead is. Played by Danai Gurira, she is a strong, female lead with an individualistic persona and a unique weapon of choice. Not to mention that she is capable of single-handedly eliminating full groups of walkers.
Michonne's hood, katana, and pet walkers have become an iconic look in the world of pop culture since her introduction. In season three, after growing suspicious of The Governor and Woodbury, Michonne made contact with Rick and Carl outside the gates of the prison.
Michonne was immediately integrated into the group and became a trusted partner of Rick, as well as becoming his future wife. Following the death of Rick, Michonne gave birth to their son R.J., and she became the adoptive mother of Judith. However, when on a supply run, Michonne finds evidence that Rick is still alive, and she therefore decides to leave her family behind and search for her long lost husband.
Although rumored to return in the Rick Grimes movies, Michonne actually deserves to lead her own show. It could focus on her solo search to find Rick, or detail her journey at the start of the outbreak. Either way, Michonne is too iconic and recognizable a hero to not fully utilize in additional spin-offs.
