10 Ways Game Of Thrones Has Been "Ruined" Before The Finale

8. The Night King

It feels so long ago now that fans debated the prospect of the show ending with The Night King killing everyone and taking control of Westeros. The villain had been impeccably set up since the very first scene of the very first episode, leading many to believe that once the show had finished he would be considered one of the best villains in TV history. What we got was... not that.

It took just one episode and just one battle for the Night King to be defeated. Hell, it took just one hit from Arya to disintegrate the most powerful being in Westeros. Just like that, 7 seasons of menacing buildup ended in dust like a poor knockoff of Avengers: Infinity War.

This could have been forgivable if he had made an indelible mark on the show, killing off a big player like Jon, Jaime or Tyrion. So who did he kill? Theon Greyjoy and Jorah Mormont, two mid-tier characters whose arcs ended long ago.
