10 Ways Game Of Thrones Is Basically Modern-Day Britain
9. David Cameron PM, The Lannister Party
Cersei and the Lannisters typify the view of the South from those in the North, but who's in control? The Lannis-tories, of course, headed up by David Cameron and Co. He's the man in charge, and while many have tried to dethrone him, he just lives on at the top. In the eyes of the northerners, Cameron's Conservatives are the worst. Under the leadership of Margaret Thatcher, they closed down the mines in Northern England during the 1980s, wrecking communities and plunging the thriving North into chaos. Since then, the Tories have always been seen as the upper class party, indulging the rich without a care in the world for the working class general public. The South also appears to be favoured as the gap between the two ends of the country continues to grow. While Cameron, and Cersei, would tell you that their respective kingdoms are prosperous and flourishing, they're really only talking about the 100 square miles surrounding their respective cities.
