12 Cartoons You Definitely Watched In The 90s

6. Inspector Gadget

Spawning a terrible live-action movie, Inspector Gadget will have you whistling the theme tune just by saying the show€™s title. Originally made in the 80€™s, Inspector Gadget ran the whole way through the 90€™s as well. You would need to have never been near a TV to miss the metallic detective. Gadget is a hapless bionic-cop. Incompetent and clueless, Gadget relies on the help of his niece Penny and their intelligent, talking pet dog Brian (long before Family Guy). Dr. Claw is the trio€™s nemesis; though you never get to see his body, only his metal hand and his pet cat (Blofeld style). Penny and Brian help Gadget battle Claw and his M.A.D agents; often leading themselves into dangerous situations, and always ending with the same results: Claw gets away but the day is saved. A great mixture of action, adventure and comedy Inspector Gadget doesn€™t take itself too seriously. While not as gritty as some of the other cartoons on the list, it is probably one of the most recognizable.
