12 Mega Movie Stars Appearing In Essential 2014 TV Shows

12. Robin Williams - The Crazy Ones

You know him from: Good Will Hunting (1997), Dead Poets Society (1989), Mrs. Doubtfire (1993), Aladdin (1992) Movie stars don't get much bigger than the legendary Robin Williams. He's been gracing the silver screen longer than many of you reading this have been alive. For those of you who were, you may remember his breakout role on the landmark TV sitcom Happy Days (1974) as Mork, a role that Williams largely improvised. Despite only appearing in two episodes, Mork was so popular that the role spawned its own spin-off series, Mork & Mindy (1978), which ran for four years. Williams is well known for his stand-up comedy and comedic film roles, but the talented actor has proved on many occasions that he can master the serious gigs as well. He landed the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in Good Will Hunting in 1997. Williams has returned to his TV comedy roots in the single-camera sitcom The Crazy Ones, where he stars alongside Sarah Michelle Gellar as eccentric Chicago advertising executive Simon Roberts. Airing on CBS, the first season concludes on March 13th next week, meaning you've got plenty of time to catch up before season 2.
