12 TV Shows You Won't Believe Are 10 Years Old In 2015

1. Doctor Who

A full 38 years after Doctor Who first hit our screens the show was revived and revamped by Russell T. Davies and the BBC in March 2005 as Christopher Ecclestone took on the iconic role, accompanied by Rose Tyler (Billie Piper). David Tennant, Matt Smith and Peter Capaldi have since followed as the Tenth, Eleventh and Twelfth incarnations of the Doctor respectively, with the Timelord from Gallifrey and his various companions battling the Darleks, Cybermen and any number of other alien and extra-terrestrial lifeforms in eight separate series - and various specials - since its reboot. No-one predicted just how popular this new incarnation of Doctor Who would be, but the sci-fi show has retained its loyal viewers from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, as well as recruiting a raft of Who lovers from a younger generation due to its variety and wide appeal to audiences of all ages. A ninth series is already in the pipeline, with 2015's Christmas special also scheduled to be broadcast, and the show's popularity - including the fact it has been exported to just about every corner of the globe and to more than 50 countries - ensures it will certainly reach double figures in terms of number of seasons. Who knows, maybe even time travel will have become an everyday phenomenon before the public no longer require The Doctor to appear on TV screen sets to satisfy a necessary fix of sci-fi storylines...
