12 Worst TV Shows Of 2018
4. Here And Now
Was there a more odiously pretentious TV show that aired in 2018 than Here and Now?
Despite creator Alan Ball's (Six Feet Under, True Blood) prior successes and fine performances from an ensemble cast led by Tim Robbins and Holly Hunter, this quasi-supernatural family drama spread itself far too thinly without ever fully committing to its bolder ideas.
Clearly the cast had a lot of trust in Ball given his track record, but this is exactly the sort of complacent, sloppy project you end up with when an Artist gets given a blank check and precious little oversight.
Even with its undeniable topicality, the show starts off dramatically inert and never really recovers.
Despite Ball's fruitful relationship with HBO, they mercifully binned Here and Now after a single season.
