7. Meg The Demon
Location: Back in Hell if she's lucky, although possibly obliterated
First Appearance: Season 1.4 "Scarecrow"
Played by: Nicki Aycox, Jared Padalecki, Rachel Miner Yes, the last time we saw her, she was getting stabbed to death by Crowley, but I don't really think that's enough to keep down Meg, the most durable and returning side character the show has seen. Meg's been with us since the first season, when she was initially wearing the blonde visage of Meg Masters (Aycox), later trying to wreak havoc in Sam's skin, and finally settling into the body of Rachel Miner, whom she's been hitchhiking with since Season 5. By the time of her death, Meg had gone from being a vehement adversary of the Winchesters--she was originally aligned with the demon Azazel--to "kind of good" and having a thing for Castiel, whose bones she wanted to jump prior to getting offed. In a sacrificial move, Meg gave her life to draw Crowley off so Castiel and the Winchesters could escape with the Angel tablet. Still, it felt like an anti-climactic end for a character with so much history on the show. Although one can never know for sure with this team, I'm willing to bet money that we've not seen the last of Meg, even if that's the last time Miner plays the character. Meg, who's already headed down the path of altruism, may never be a significant hero, but she certainly would add spice and interest to a spin-off, and she's one character who would need the least massaging to fit in. Technically, Meg can be anyone now, and there's a great opportunity to cast a fresh face and take her in a new, exciting direction. She's served her purpose with the Winchesters, but I'm not sure fans of the show are done with her just yet.
