13 Most Compelling Backstories In The Walking Dead
8. Abraham Ford
This past season, The Walking Dead took an ever-so-brief glimpse into the past of Abraham Ford, and what was found there, well, it wasn't pretty. Not in the slightest. Abraham, it seems, had a wife, Ellen, and two children: a son and daughter, named A.J. and Becca. During the outbreak, they leave Abraham after witnessing him killing a group of men (who, it appears, were attacking them). In their wake Ellen has left a note stating "Don't try to find us." Ignoring it. Abraham leaves in search of them, only to find their remains. Tragic, but it leaves a major question: why would his family be so afraid of him? There was a definite abusive vibe to the scene, and it may be that Ellen and the kids had greater reason to fear Abraham than what was shown on screen. It's well known that Abraham doesn't mind, and in fact may enjoy, resorting to violence. If this is something that his family experienced prior to the outbreak, it would explain a lot. Further, with Carol in the group, it provides a potentially dangerous dynamic.
