15 Actors Who Have Been In Doctor Who More Than Once

10. David Troughton

With Michael Troughton having finally made an appearance in the last Christmas special, both of Second Doctor Patrick Troughton's sons have now starred in Doctor Who. David Troughton was more prolific and joins that select group of actors who have starred in both incarnations of the show. After being an extra in Enemy of the World, he finally made a full appearance as an American Civil War soldier in his dad's swansong The War Games. His next one is probably his most fondly remembered, playing the slightly drippy King of Peladon in a nice pair of tights. Like many others, he lost his heart to Jo Grant but she chose to turn down his offer of marriage. Finally he starred as Professor Hobbes in Russell T Davies' claustrophobic masterpiece Midnight. Troughton also provides the voice of the Black Guardian for Big Finish.
