15 Actors Who Have Been In Doctor Who More Than Once
8. Bernard Horsfall
Few actors made as many notable appearances as Horsfall, who starred in four major parts with four different Doctors, all directed by David Maloney. He first debuted in The Mind Robber with Patrick Troughton playing the fictional Gulliver when the TARDIS crew were stranded in the Land of Fiction. He also turned up as the leader of the Thals sent to destroy the Dalek army on Spiradon in Jon Pertwee classic The Planet of the Daleks. Horsfall also played two different Time Lords - or maybe the same one. Firstly he's seen at the end of the epic War Games and sentences the Doctor to his exile and second regeneration. In The Deadly Assassin he plays Chancellor Goth, who has been seduced by the Master to do his evil bidding. It is Horsfall who duels with Tom Baker in the iconic Matrix sequence that caused quite a bit of fuss with its drowning cliffhanger. As well as Who, Horsfall also made a brief but memorable cameo in Lazenby Bond On Her Majesty's Secret Service. He also popped up in Sixth Doctor audio adventure Davros.
