9. Tristan Duffy - Hotel
There were more than a few raised eyebrows when American Horror Story cast Lady Gaga for its fifth season, Hotel, but the eccentric artist absolutely knocked her performance out of the park. She lent Elizabeth, a 112 year old vampire, the kind of glamour that few could have matched.
However, alongside the fashion style of the Countess was a truly terrifying ruthless streak, which she demonstrated on more than one occasion. Arguably the most memorable of these moments came with the demise of Tristan Duffy.
The model had arrived at the Hotel Cortez for a fashion show and soon found himself connected to the Countess. He also fell in love with Liz Taylor, causing complications to say the least. When the two asked if they could be together, Elizabeth saw this as betrayal, the one act she could not stand, and made sure they paid the price.
Mere seconds after telling Liz she could have Tristan, she slit the latter's throat, telling Denis O'Hare's character to bury him. The writers of Hotel, for a split second, tricked viewers into thinking Liz and Tristan would live happily ever after, before snatching it away in the most brutal way possible.
