One of the newer cartoons on the list, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes was a pure delight for Marvel fans and inevitably, it was so good, it became short-lived. The show consisted of the Avengers going up against the likes of Loki, the Master of Evil and even the Skrulls. It was an compelling cartoon and it was all that Marvel fans could ever ask for; a cartoon that was consistent, with neat fight sequences, humour and special guest appearances. Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes focused on some great storylines too, and it honestly put the original Secret Invasion event to shame. It was all mostly down to the main writer though, comic veteran Christopher Yost, who infused classic Avengers storylines with the look and feel of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, all within the boundaries of animation. The first season had some great episodes, but it's the second season that really shined. It focused on an overarching plot with a redeeming explosive finish, with the Guardians of the Galaxy even making an appearance. Heck, the cartoon somehow made the Wasp interesting for once. For some stupid, truly unforgivable reason, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes wasn't renewed for a third season. Despite its popularity with fans, it was replaced with the dreadful Avengers Assemble show. Whatever you do, don't try and compare the two, you'll just end up Hulking out.
