His Role On Sons Of Anarchy: Patrick portrayed Les Packer, the president of the club's San Bernardino charter in an episode of season six. He later returned - a bit more prominently - in the penultimate episode of the series with the others chapters' leaders to meet over Jax's murder of Jury.
His Role On The X-Files: After David Duchovny left the series full-time after the seventh season, Patrick's down-to-earth John Doggett was brought in to take his place alongside Scully. Doggett remained a main character through to the end of the series, though didn't return for I Want to Believe and won't be appearing in the revival.
