17 Hottest New TV Shows Debuting This Summer

1. Fear The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead is one of the biggest shows on TV, so understandably AMC want to keep it in your consciousness as much as possible, and have devised a way of doing so during the summer. Fear The Walking Dead, a companion series to the main show, will take place before the events we see in season 1 of that, when Rick Grimes is still in a coma. It€™ll be set in Los Angeles, and show just what the world looks like as it is descending into a zombie apocalypse. Kim Dickens and Cliff Curtis will star as a guidance counsellor and teacher respectively, and it€™s said to focus more on family rather than a disparate group of survivors. Meanwhile plenty of the behind-the-scenes team from The Walking Dead, including creator Robert Kirkman and special effects guru Greg Nicotero. While there does feel like a bit of missed opportunity with this show, as it would€™ve been exciting to see it explore the outbreak on a more global scale, the chance to delve deeper into the world and see another side of things is still a very tantalising prospect.
