20 DC Characters Who Could Yet Appear In Arrow And The Flash

9. Metallo

Superman Harley Quinn

The Kryptonite-riddled Superman villain could make for a great addition to The Flash.

During Smallville’s 10-season run, there were plenty and plenty of ‘villain of the week’ fodder. One of the ones that the Tom Welling-starring show did get right, though, was John Corben, aka Metallo. If done right, he can be a highly engaging villain.

In The Flash’s world of meta-humans, Metallo would make a brilliant addition to Central City. The only issue would be whether his story is too tied to that of Superman, and also this version of the character may need to lose the Kryptonite element of his make-up.

When it comes down to it, Metallo’s main power these days is that he’s essentially poisonous to Superman. If you take the Big, Blue Boy Scout away from the situation then that takes away a large part of Metallo’s effectiveness. Still, it's definitely not enough of a major issue that would hold back the inclusion of such a fan-favourite villain.
