20 DC Characters Who Could Yet Appear In Arrow And The Flash

7. Superman

Superman Harley Quinn
The CW

The biggest name on this list by far is that of the Man of the Steel, Superman.

Now Supes would have been a huge, huge long shot to appear in the shared universe of Arrow and The Flash at one point in time, but in typical Superman fashion, there is hope.

Recent speculation and rumour suggests that there has actually been some thought to having Superman appear in the second season of The Flash. Not only that, but the same stories claim that The CW have Tom Welling in mind to play the Last Son of Krypton should he swoop down in Central City.

The CW, of course, handled the 10-season run of Smallville in which Welling played Clark Kent as he began to develop his powers on his eventual journey to become Superman.

At one stage, the appearance of Superman in The Flash would’ve sounded ridiculous, but it might not be quite as ridiculous now. Plus there are a whole host of fans out there who have been dying to see Tom Welling pull on the famed tights and cape again.
