20 Easter Eggs You Didn't Notice In American Horror Story

8. Kit Walker Is A Superhero

Evan Peters gets all the good roles in American Horror Story. All the roles that involve him being a crazy mass murderer of some sort, anyway. In Asylum he's Kit Walker, a gas station attendant whose marriage to a black woman in the age of segregation caused a certain amount of controversy. Then he got sent to the asylum for killing people. One of the central mysteries of the season was whether or not Kit Walker, the name of Peters' character, was actually responsible for the so-called Bloody Face. It later turns out Dr Thredson was the man behind them, but there was a pretty major clue that Kit was innocent in the form his Easter Egg-y name. Because Kit Walker is also the alter ego of The Phantom, a pulp character who was very much a predecessor of modern superheroes, created by Lee Falk and featured in books, magazines, comics and even a slightly ropey 1996 film starring Billy Zane in the eponymous role. See? The AHS character was destined to be a okay in the end.
