18. Starfleet Uniform – Star Trek Beyond
After Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness, the standard duty uniforms worn by the Enterprise crew were redesigned for Star Trek Beyond to reflect their more mature personalities. Among the proposed designs was a radical departure, reminiscent of Uhura's wetsuit from Into Darkness, that featured a ribbed turtleneck similar to the undershirts seen in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.
Star Trek Beyond costume designer Sanja Hayes' final uniforms were ultimately more formal and far more conservative, but this potential costume design would've been a bold look.
