Merchandising and tie-ins are the bread and butter of any genre property worth its salt. The way to really make some of that budget back from any TV show, along with the commercials, is with the tat they sell off the back of it. DVD and Blu-Ray box sets, sure, but also everything else: the comic book, the cutlery, the clothes. Unlike many sci-fi properties, Orphan Black actually went above and beyond the call of duty when it came to its wearable merchandise. Instead of a bunch of poorly-designed t-shirts with CLONE CLUB and SEESTRA splattered over them, they designed a whole clothing line. Released through Hot Topic, the safe haven for mall goths all across America, the Orphan Black clothing line includes a a shirt with a design that matches Helena's scars (creepy), that rad DNA dress that Cosima wore that one time (adorable), as well as the full street rat outfit that Sarah is wearing when she's first introduced (functional!). The models look awfully similar to Tatiana Maslany, too...
