25 New And Returning TV Shows To Watch This Summer

Sense8 is a new Netflix original series created by Andy and Lana Wachowski, known for movies like The Matrix, Cloud Atlas and Jupiter Ascending. The show will revolve around eight strangers from different cultures and from all around the world who suddenly find themselves mentally linked together. They try to figure out why this is happening as a mysterious man and his organisation try to hunt the eight down. Each episode will focus on one of these eight characters at a time. 

The Wachowskis' career started strong with The Matrix, one of the greatest works of science fiction ever made, but it's unfortunately been going downhill ever since then. Their latest movie, Jupiter Ascending, was a failure both critically and financially. Could this be the project to bring us back to classic Wachowski science fiction? 

Sense8 will be available to stream on Netflix on June 5.
