Since the Whoniverse has been let into the new era of the show thanks to Spyfall Part 1, after The Master's acknowledgement of Gallifrey, the haunting past of the Time Lords has finally crept up on Doctor Thirteen, and it's truly a sight to see. Jodie Whittaker's performance across both parts of Spyfall has been nothing but brilliant.

This feels like the first time we're really seeing Jodie Whittaker's Doctor. Throughout Series 11, she was simply gallivanting around time and space without a care in the world. For a few episodes, this is fine. For a whole series, it makes the whole experience feel hollow. So far in Series 12, we've seen The Doctor's mind finally at work without her sonic doing the heavy lifting, seen her feel way out of her depth and lost in her thoughts, and most importantly seen her consumed by the haunting echoes of her past. Whittaker pulled off these moments with flying colours, and it's truly exciting to see where things go from here, because...
