3. Grey's Anatomy
The struggling ABC has been known recently to hang on to shows that were successful for dear life, unable to come up with any good new dramas. Honestly, without shows like Grey's Anatomy, Castle, and Modern Family, ABC would be as good as obsolete. Nonetheless, Grey's Anatomy has seen a good run and an equally impressive following. However, like its predecessors on this list, the series is beginning to show its age. Season eight of the series was referred to by Entertainment Weekly as "a so-so season," which is truly what it was. The cast was barely a ghost of what it was in the first season. Season nine proved to be a slight improvement, but the show is beginning to lose quality. The only thing that is keeping most fans watching are the few remaining developed characters on the series and the shock value of certain incidents. The show has never seen a Nielsen rating worse than #34, which they received for season eight. They were just renewed for season ten last month, and though I do not foresee ABC ending its best series, it is probably time for them to quit while they are ahead for once.
