1. CSI: Crime Scene Investigation
I am probably not the only one who feels that good old crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is nothing without Gil Grissom and Catherine Willows. Grissom departed after season nine, while Willows departed after season twelve, and yet the show continues to run as though nobody left. Ted Danson in the lead role as CSI Supervisor D.B. Russell is a major improvement from Laurence Fishbourne's Ray Langston, but no one can fill the shoes of Gil Grissom. The show has not been the same to me for over five seasons, as very few characters from the beginning of the series remain. The show's popularity is also beginning to decline, as it received its lowest rating during its latest season, which just so happened to be its thirteenth. CBS, unwilling to let the show rest in peace, renewed it for a fourteenth season. We all know that CSI will never be the same as it was in the old days. The cases are not as interesting, the characters are either old or bland, and you have to wonder why Las Vegas is not the murder capital of the United States by now. The show has outlasted both of its spinoffs, and it is now time to let this ancient crime drama go.
