6 Best Game Of Thrones Character Pairings (We Never Got To See)
1. Jorah Mormont And Jaime Lannister
Here are another two characters that were in the same place at the same time, but never actually shared any dialogue. Much like Bronn and Daario, these guys are almost perfect foils, as both committed acts that permanently sullied their honor and bore the weight of those choices for the rest of their lives.
What's fascinating is their differing motivations and how they were treated in the aftermath. Jamie sullied his honor for the greater good of King's Landing, while Jorah's slave trading was selfishly-motivated. Jamie ascended to the King's Guard in spite of killing his king, while Jorah was permanently banished from Westeros. They were both hopelessly devoted to the women they loved despite that love not always being returned.
Despite their myriad similarities, they likely would have absolutely HATED each other had they ever talked. Jamie had a particular talent for dunking on love-drunk fools - I would have loved to hear him break down Jorah's devotion to Dany with his typical Lannister wit and sharp tongue, and despite his more taciturn nature I think Jorah would have gotten a few good jabs to gut in there as well.
