4. Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is something different to the female solo artist market in comparison to the likes of Beyonce, Britney Spears, Rihanna or Katy Perry. When she first emerged on the scene in 2006, she was poised as a sweet and innocent country singer who could sell lots of records to a niche market. Six years later, in 2012, a more "grown up" Swift appeared with the typical famous boyfriend in One Direction's Harry Styles, which was always going to end in disaster following Styles' history with the ladies: the inevitable break-up left people thinking she was the problem, though, and her song lyrics didn't help either. Styles is just the latest in a string of famous boyfriends, adding to the list which includes Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, Conor Kennedy, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal, none of whom have lasted longer than four months. You might be thinking "I could be the next one in line, given that she's dated everyone else," but you would probably be wasting your time unless you have some sort of celebrity pulling power.
