7 Actors Who Hated Being On The Walking Dead
2. Norman Reedus - Daryl Dixon
Admittedly, this could be considered a bit of a stretch.
Daryl Dixon was the breakout character of The Walking Dead, which is extremely impressive considering he was created for the show after Norman Reedus auditioned for the role of Merle (that'd be very weird). As one of the last members of the original cast left, the other being Melissa McBride as Carol, he has really been in it for a long time. Many memes and jokes came from his early appearances, the most famous being "If Daryl dies, we riot".
Reedus himself has been vocal about how much he loved the show, and his friendship with the cast members, particularly Andrew Lincoln, has been well documented. But one thing he said in an interview with EW was that he hated filming the first half of Season 7.
This part of the story came after Daryl was captured by Negan and the Saviors, and left in a cell and being fed dog food sandwiches, whilst the earworm "Easy Street" by the Collapsible Hearts Club played on repeat for him to hear. The actor said that he hated being away from the cast, and he took those complaints straight to showrunner Scott Gimple. Though he later agreed to the unpleasant shoot, he was vocal about how much he did not enjoy his time during this period.
Who doesn't enjoy being cooped up in a cell devoid of light while being naked?
He has always talked about the love between everyone on the show, but even the happiest guy in the cast had some bones to pick.
