8 TV Finales So Bad They Wiped Shows From Existence

3. Dexter (2004 To 2013)

Game Of Thrones Dany Face
Showtime

The story of a serial killer who only kills killers who slips through the cracks of the legal system while working for the Miami Metro Police Department is an intriguing premise. The mythology of the series was built expertly around the inherent tension that came from how long Dexter could keep this double life up before the people he worked with caught him.

The final season is regarded as its worst and the last episode is the worst of that season, which is saying a lot. It left too many plot lines and characters hanging to satisfy fans, opting instead for a uncharacteristic grand ending that featured Dexter faking his own death.

Seeing him hide in plain sight in Oregon as a lumberjack with a terrible beard is about an absurd an ending as you could imagine for this series.
