6. What Will Happen To Vic?
Either because of scheduling conflicts with Hollywood star Sam Rockwell or because of the arrival of Chet in the cul-de-sac, Vic had a smaller than usual role this time around. Maybe that’s just being kind and they weren’t sure how to write for him sober.
He still had some great lines here and there, but without much purpose. Jogging through the parade route and thinking the town had lined up to cheer him on was especially great. However, he didn’t seem to have much influence on anybody in the neighbourhood this time around. Will he continue to be a bit part joke, like Goomer? Or will Season 4 have him in the thick of things again?
In the chopper scene in the finale, we saw some of the old Vic but didn’t really get the impact it had on him. Babe got over his crush on Vic (and admitted to his wife he’d been thinking about Vic in bed), while Otto finally told Ginny to ‘get the f**k out’. But how the whole affair will change Vic himself won’t be revealed until Season 4.
