9 Questions About Archer Season 6

5. How Will Cyril Handle The Power Comedown?

Poor, poor Cyril Figgis. Sure, he€™s a total buzzkill, and can€™t shoot straight to save his life (though he has miraculously survived 62 episodes thus far), but the guy just can€™t catch a break. His official title at ISIS was Agency Comptroller, but for all intents and purposes, he pretty much existed as the HQ€™s whipping boy. He finally managed to seize some authority at the tail-end of Vice, overthrowing Gustavo Calderon and taking his position as President of San Marcos. As well as the perks of dictatorial power, Cyril was able to marry former first lady Juliana, and got to employ his Warhammer-honed tactics to devise Rebel-quashing strategies. And he was almost successful, too: it turns out he€™s a pretty decent military commander. Yet ultimately, his power trip couldn€™t last forever, and with Lana€™s reluctant utterance of €œArcher time€, Cyril looks set to being bumped back down to the bottom of the pecking order once again. His self-esteem has taken such a bruising over the years that it€™s possible that he could meekly resign himself to this fact, and we€™ll hear no more of it. But after seeing Cyril get his sass on and enjoy a little autonomy, we might just see a more bitter edge to the character as he returns to his thankless position at ISIS. In addition, we can€™t imagine he€™ll be best pleased when he discovers that Archer is indeed the father of Lana€™s newborn child. Maybe we€™ll finally get to see how Cyril€™s own version of a rampage will pan out€
