10. Jessica Lange Will No Longer Be There

Despite fans pleading with Jessica Lange to stay on for one more season, the actress blew them off for the final time at Paleyfest on 14 March. €œI€™ve absolutely loved doing these four characters that I€™ve had the opportunity to play," she said. "In all the madness, I€™ve loved the writers, my actors and Ryan and the whole insanity of it. To cut to the chase, yes, I€™m done.€ For a while it was speculated that she was just saying it to keep fans from finding out what her role would be in the next season, but she swears that that's not the case and that her reason for leaving is entirely personal. Perhaps if AHS went back to its roots and focused more on the cast as a whole, with no lead character (like it was in the first season), the show might get a bit better again (since it's been proved that Murder House was most fans' favourite). Lange's characters just got larger with every season, until she ultimately became the lead. The question is, will the show suffer without her?
