16. The Stair Car
The only acceptable mode of transportation for Bluths who need to keep their public image at bay during a time of personal financial meltdown, it's the now iconic stair car. Serving mostly as Michael's primary vehicle in the wake of Bluth company bankruptcy, it came into his possession when the family were forced to sell their jet and he didn't want to be seen driving around in a fancy car. The stair car, which was used as a means of getting on said jet back in the glory days, becomes the subject of a running joke about "hop-ons." Though we never see this happening on-screen, Michael frequently mentions that he's having to deal with random passersby jumping onto the stair car for free rides. George Snr. reputes his dissatisfaction with a hilarious casualness: "You're gonna get some hop-ons."
