Arrow: 10 Things Season 4 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)
6. Diggle And Oliver Fighting
Arrow is Oliver Queens show, so naturally the audience perspective is skewed to root for him. Theres nothing wrong with always wanting the hero to be right, but a problem arises when hes confronted with what are supposed to be two-sided disagreements of morality that dont hold water because his way is clearly correct. Case in point: Diggle and Olivers feud for the beginning of the season. Diggle is still mad at Oliver for kidnapping Lyla last season which, in theory, is understandable. The problem is that even Lyla agreed with Olivers decision, thinking it was necessary for him to establish Ras al Ghuls trust. Diggle felt betrayed, but as viewers, it was clear that Oliver breaking his trust was absolutely worth the chance at stopping the big bad. The whole thing just felt out of character for both of them considering the lengthy history together, and the entire feud never felt permanent. It was clear that they were going to be buddies again soon and dragging out this fight really didnt change either character in a way that merited its prolonged inclusion.
