Arrow Season 4: 6 Ups And 5 Downs From 'Genesis'

8. Green Arrow Vs. Damien Darhk

Arrow Genesis
The CW

Seeing Green Arrow battling Damien Darhk has regularly been one of the highlights of Arrow’s fourth season, and their butting off heads here was certainly one of the biggest “ups” of Genesis.

Arriving just in the nick of time to stop Darhk from attacking Lyla Michaels, the Emerald Archer unloaded an arrow in the back of his foe before smashing him with a flurry of punches. Of course, this didn’t have all that much effect on Darhk and he soon used him Vader-esque Force-lite grip on his opponent.

Rather than becoming a lifeless body on the verge of death, this time things were very different as Oliver’s apparent magic powers – y’know, the ones that Esrin Fortuna said he definitely, definitely, definitely could not channel? – kicked in and Darhk’s attack was rendered useless.

Now that Ollie has seemingly evened the playing field, it should certainly make for an interesting conclusion to the season, but it was just plain awesome to see the suited-up Green Arrow once again confront this year’s big bad.
