5. Revisiting The Rooftops

If you knew anything about Arrow, you had to know that the war for Starling City's soul would all come down to a rooftop battle between Tommy's Dark Archer and Oliver's Hood 2.0. Not only is that down to the show's history with Green Arrow's final showdowns, it's also down to the fact that the Season 1 finale ended the exact same way.

Yep, all the way back in 'Sacrifice', Oliver took on Malcolm Merlyn's Dark Archer in a bid to save the city from his earthquake machine - presumably killing Merlyn with an arrow. 'Starling City's rematch of sorts clearly took its cues from that episode, as everything from the visuals to the way in which the villainous archer was lying on the roof, was identical. Well, almost identical... you might notice that the building isn't the same one Oliver fought Malcolm on.
