Arrowverse: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
12. The Flash Season 2
The Flash's first season opened up the Arrowverse by welcoming metahumans and time travel, but the second was pivotal in expanding its horizons by introducing the multiverse.
Even though he wasn't directly tied to Barry, Zoom's arrival spawned another character-driven arc for the Scarlet Speedster - who struggled to find happiness in the wake of Thawne's destruction - and thanks to an understated performance from Grant Gustin, it became a solid foundation for the season. Additionally, the mystery surrounding Zoom's identity was very well-executed, allowing the monstrous speedster to rival his predecessor in terms of how terrifying a villain he was.
Season 2 certainly revisited a number of the same beats as the first and it didn't hit all of them as smoothly, but The Flash's sophomore outing was a great follow-up that once again illustrated the depth of Barry Allen's story.
