Batman v Superman v Doctor Who: 10 Heroic Connections

8. Sarah Douglas - Ursa/Sibor

Getting a generation of young men frightened yet aroused, Douglas became world famous as exiled Kryptonian Ursa in 1980's Superman II. Forming a terrible trio with Terence Stamp's General Zod and Jack O'Halloran's Non, she appeared in the first two movies, but it was the sequel that showcased her particular brand of mayhem as she threatened Christopher Reeve's hero on human turf. Vocally however Douglas has been a strong contributor to the Doctor Who franchise and is perhaps best known for her role as Sibor in Big Finish Fifth Doctor adventure Prisoners Of Fate. She voiced several parts for the BBC's range of online Adventure Games and even went the full Time Lord in BF's Gallifrey range as Chancellor Dondequest. An honourable mention should go in at this point for Clive Mantle. He was the prototype Nuclear Man in Superman IV: The Quest For Peace, though in Mantle's case it was a quest for anonymity after his scenes were cut. He went on to voice Oliver Cromwell in The Settling and Tuvold in The Burning Prince, working with Sylvester McCoy and Peter Davison respectively, before giving Matt Smith a set of lungs in the audiobook of Michael Moorcock's The Coming Of The Terraphiles.
