After the destruction of the Pegasus, Lee Adama resumes his previous rank of Major, and his previous position as CAG of Galactica.

During this time, Lee concocts a plan that nearly succeeds in wiping out the Cylons for good, and is also instrumental in finding a new source of food for when the Fleet's situation grows desperate.

However, Lee's time in this role comes to end when his friend and former lover, Kara "Starbuck" Thrace, is suddenly killed flying a mission. Overcome with grief, his work is compromised, and his father is forced to remove him from his position.
