Batwoman: Ranking Every Character From Worst To Best

6. Julia Pennyworth

Batwoman Season 1
The CW

The moment that Julia Pennyworth turned up in Gotham City, Batwoman was infused with an unexpected vibrance as the character quickly turned things upside down with her undeniable charm. And even though it looked like she was a one-and-done character, her return later down the line ended up gifting the show with one of its most mysterious arcs - all while allowing her to become an unexpected obstacle in the inevitable Kate/Sophie romance.

The daughter of Alfred, Julia is another nice tie to the wider DC Universe, but it's her position as a spy and her romantic past with Kate that have proven to be the most fruitful stories thus far. Though she hasn't exactly been around long enough to learn much as a character, there is a well of story just waiting to be unearthed - and that is just one of the many reasons why Christina Wolfe should be promoted to a series regular next season.

Truth be told, when Julia is on-screen, you're guaranteed a thrilling experience, love.
