6. It's Dark

As each of the Arrowverse shows have their own unique tones, it was important that Batwoman establish its identity rather early on. It did just that as, in a single episode, it made it clear that The CW's shared universe was in for a new darker era.

Owing quite a lot to Arrow, the show's tone is somewhat of a mix between dark and fantastical, employing elements of the Emerald Archer's show (broody protagonist with a penchant for voiceover) while also plunging itself into its own brand of Bat-related darkness.

This makes for a compelling watch and, if nothing else, solidifies the show as both a visual marvel and a worthy successor to Arrow.

Batwoman was always destined to be dark and, for the most part, the pilot episode successfully made it happen.
