Better Call Saul: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode

3. Jefe, Tiburon, And Matador - Bagman (S5E8)

Better Call Saul Matador
Netflix

While incarcerated, Lalo Salamanca asks his lawyer, Jimmy McGill, to pick up his bail money, which is $7 million. Unfortunately, Colombian gang leader, Jefe, learns of this meeting and has Jimmy cornered in the middle of the desert immediately after receiving the money.

After Jefe secures the cash, he orders his associate, Matador, to put a bullet in Jimmy's skull. Just as he's about to pull the trigger, Mike snipers Matador, Jefe, and their companions, forcing the only survivor, Tiburon, to flee.

Even though these gang members barely speak and their names are never mentioned outside the credits, they are memorable for three reasons - They were in one of the best episodes, they had the best shootout in the show and, most importantly, they have come closer to killing Jimmy McGill than any other character... at least for now. While Jimmy looked down the barrel of Matador's golden plated gun, it really looked like he was done for. This confrontation also showed Jimmy at his most vulnerable since, for once, he realised he couldn't talk his way out of a difficult situation.
